Senior Adult Ministries
Greg Burchfield, and his wife Lovella, are enjoying serving as Pastors of Glad Tidings A/G Church in Silver City, NM. They Preciously enjoyed pastoring at First Assembly of God in Belen, NM, First Assembly of God in Grants, and First Assembly in Questa, NM for several years. Greg has enjoyed serving in various capacities in the New Mexico District: currently serving as Committeeman in the SW DYD; Sectional Youth Rep, and Sectional Christian Ed Rep. Greg and Lovella both love and support the NM District as they pastor and participate in various District and Sectional ministry opportunities.
A note from Greg and Lovella regarding the SAMS ministry:
We are looking forward to serving as the NM District SAMS Directors. Our desire is to continue serving people through this ministry.
Our challenge to our SAMS is to continue to:
*Faithfully serve God in your local churches, being the support to your Pastors and leadership, through prayer and encouragement of those ministries in your local church.
*Be a mentor to the yonger men and women, youth, children, through prayer and encouragement; you have a wealth of knowledge and experience to be shared with them; understand them and the world they are now living in, be a grand[arent-parent-support to single moms and dads-bake them a pie, take them fishing, etc. find some familiar hobbies or common interests.
*Attend Sectional and District SAMS retreats for encouragement, fellowship and ministry opportunities.
Our goal is to have some NM (as well as out of state) fun trips, retreats, and ministry opportunities each year; we will try to keep your local churches informed.
